Broad Brook Opera House proudly presents "Songs for a New World" - a musical revue by Tony award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown ("Parade" - Best Original Score - 1999).
The original revue was performed off-Broadway with a cast of only four. For the Broad Brook Opera House's production, however, it has been re-vamped by the directors, Tom Russell and Jessica Szewczyk, to not only have a larger cast, but an underlying plot-line and theme as well. Set in modern times, this cast of 16 will sing throughout the course of life's twists and turns, focusing on the theme of change. Whether the change comes in the form of a present relationship turning sour, a new relationship blossoming, the inner struggle in one's self, or the possibility of a new life being born, "Songs for a New World" is filled with character-driven songs and a story that will leave the audience wishing for more.
Performances will be held at the Opera House Players' theater,
